If you are an architecture enthusiast like us, this tour is for you! Join us on an Architecture Tour – Pritzker and we will take you to see some of the greatest examples of contemporary architecture, with a focus on the Portuguese architecture but not restricted to it.
Porto is the birthplace of two Pritzker Prize winners: Álvaro Siza Vieira and Eduardo Souto de Moura. Walking through the city you will be able to see works from different stages of their careers and capture the evolution of their designs.
We will take you to some of the greatest buildings in Porto and tell you all about their developments: from the Serralves Museum to the refurbishment of Aliados Avenue, we will visit the early work of Casa das Artes and the Torre de Burgo project, passing through the Architecture Faculty, Casa da Música and Bairro da Bouça.
Between the main stops, we will talk about the much discussed Porto School of Architecture, the characteristics of Portuguese architecture and the major problems that the city of Porto is facing in recent times.
And if you are interested in any other building or specific architect let us know and we will make sure our tour matches your needs!
