Start the day with a delicious breakfast in a fancy coffee shop. If you want to impress from the beginning, choose some place like Café Majestic, at Santa Catarina Street, or Jóia da Coroa, located on Flores Street. They are both famous for its ambiance but not very attended by locals. If you want a more relaxed atmosphere and good food, try Mustache Café (at Praça de Carlos Alberto) or Leitaria da Baixa, at Passos Manuel Street.
After a warming breakfast, go to the Ribeira area and take a boat ride to explore the city from a different perspective! The Six Bridges boat tour will take you to navigate the Douro River in a Rabelo boat, from where you will see the amazing bridges that connect Porto with Vila Nova de Gaia. Rides usually last one hour and cost around 15€! Don’t forget to take amazing pictures with your beloved companion :)
Once you’re back make a visit to Palácio de Cristal Gardens, an awesome place that will guarantee amazing views over the Douro River. From there, join the Romantic pedestrian path, where you will discover the beauties and the remaining of 19th century Porto! Visit the Romantic Museum located at Quinta da Macieirinha discover how the bourgeois used to live back then.
For a perfect lunch time, indulge yourself at Antiqvvm – a Michelin-starred restaurant headed by chef Vitor Matos. Take tram no. 1 in direction to the Foz area, where the Douro River meets the Atlantic Ocean. Take a walk near the beach and enjoy a beautiful sunset!
