One of the highlights are music events: from big festivals to free concerts and sunset parties, Porto has something for everyone! Combining cool artists, great views, and relaxed atmosphere, here’s our selection of Top 5 Music Events in Porto:

NOS Primavera Sound

This weekend, Porto is hosting one of the best music festivals in Europe according to The Guardian! Created in Barcelona, in 2001, this year will be the sixth edition of NOS Primavera Sound in Porto. For three days, the City Park gets packed with indie artists and their fans! To make everything even better, the festival happens really near the beach :)

Jameson Lazy Sessions

On Saturdays, from July to September, Porto hosts Jameson Lazy Sessions, a great combination of concerts, DJ sets, cocktails and great views! And the best part is: the event has free entrance. The audience is a mix of young locals, tourists, families and even dogs, all gathered in the beautiful Virtudes Garden! Check some moments of last year’s edition here:

Somersby Porto Sunday Sessions

Another great free event is Porto Sunday Sessions, promoted by Somersby. Each month they occupy a different green space in Porto, like the City Park, Crystal Palace Gardens, and Passeio Alegre Garden, promoting a great time to everyone! This year Porto Sunday Sessions will be its sixth edition and it’s a great way to start a fresh new week ahead!

Festival Varandas

This unique festival gathers music, theater, poetry and even circus in some of the prettiest balconies in Porto! Started in 2012, Varandas Festival happens in August and has free entrance. Check their program and get ready to explore the city streets and discover amazing places!
