In June, in Porto, we celebrate São João (Saint John), as you already know! To fully enjoy the night, as a local would do, Atwill will tell you what to do on São João! Here’s part 1 of our tips:
Start at Rotunda da Boavista! A traditional party spot that for some time was someway forgotten, but nowadays has recovered its position as a must do! Here, since June 4th and until the 3rd of July, you can find a big ferris Wheel – the biggest in Portugal! You will also ride bumper cars, rides, and all sort of traditional games, food and arts stands! It is the perfect place for children and families.
Since you are next to Casa da Música, you shouldn’t miss São João Concerts! Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa will presente two concerts: June 23rd and 24th. It is the perfect opportunity to enjoy Casa da Música at its full magnitude! And it’s free of charge!
